What's the difference between the Indian and International numbering systems?

They're the same numbers, just grouped differently for reading: International groups digits in threes (thousand, million, billion), while Indian groups the first three digits together and then in pairs (thousand, lakh, crore) -- so 10,000,000 is "ten million" internationally but "one crore" in the Indian system.

Can I type commas in the number, like "1,25,000"?

Yes -- commas are stripped before parsing, so both Indian-style grouping (1,25,000) and International-style grouping (125,000) are accepted and produce the same result.

What happens if I enter a decimal, like 125000.50?

Up to two decimal digits are supported. In plain mode they're read digit-by-digit after the word "Point" (e.g. "Point Five Zero"); in currency mode they're instead converted into a whole subunit amount and read with your chosen minor unit name (e.g. "and Fifty Paise").
