Why 52 weeks per row instead of accounting for leap years?

The grid uses a clean 52-week year for visual simplicity, since a year is 52 weeks and roughly one extra day (or two in leap years). Over a lifetime this adds up to a small number of weeks of drift, but it keeps every row the same width and the visualization easy to read.

What does the highlighted red square mean?

It marks the exact week you're in right now -- the boundary between the filled-in squares representing weeks already lived and the empty outlined squares representing weeks you may still have, based on the life expectancy you entered.

Is the life expectancy figure a real prediction for me personally?

No -- it's just whatever number you type in, defaulting to 90. It's not derived from actuarial tables, health data, or demographics; it's meant as an adjustable "what if" input so you can see the grid change as you raise or lower your assumed lifespan.

Can I save or share the grid?

Yes -- the "Download as Image" button exports the current grid as a PNG file you can save, print, or share, generated entirely in your browser from the canvas drawing.
